To create a bespoke hand drawn illustration, inspired by the lyrics and themes of the album, with a medieval and dream like vibe.

Project Description
I worked closely with the artist and drew inspiration from their lyrics, which I found painted a theme all of their own.
I ended up working with these themes in particular: Demons, Insomnia, Night, Infinite present, Ship too true to sink, Choppy seas, Time. The sea and night imagery were especially potent.
My sketches began with the image of the artist, adrift on a medieval/otherworldly style boat, on choppy night time seas. I feel like this image reflects a sense of being ‘at sea’ that the album evokes.
The demons featured are based on unsettling medieval devils and demons I discovered in my research.
I painted the hand drawn illustration with watercolours, added a layer of watercolour 'starry sky', and put together the layers and final design digitally, using Affinity.
